New Member Reception

A new feature was added to the Board meeting of French Quarter Citizens on Monday evening, April 9th. It had been decided by the Board several months previous to hold a new member reception after the monthly meeting in April. All new members within the last six months were sent invitations to attend and meet the representatives of the Board of French Quarter Citizens.

The wine and cheese reception --- which also included champagne and warm hors d'oeuvres --- was well attended. From 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, the lights were on at the office on Rampart Street, where the sounds of friendship issued as various components of FQC met and greeted each other. Everyone agreed that an event like this should be held more often in order to introduce new members to the organization.
